A fantastic year for ANONIMO in the 2019 WRC

Mechanical watchmaking and motor sport are closely linked disciplines. Both revolve around precision, reliability, time and passion. The FIA World Rally Championship embodies excellence in rally driving. We are proud to have been Official Timekeepers of the WRC since 2018. Races are often decided by a few tenths of a second, making our job all the more important.

It's also a world in which everyone has a crucial role to play, in which the race – and victory – are only made possible by those working behind the scenes. This team spirit perfectly reflects ANONIMO’s values of perseverance and passion.

2019 was a tremendous year. We presented the ANONIMO Timing Feat Award to Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia for the Monte-Carlo Rally, after they clinched victory by just 2.2 seconds in a nail-biting race that saw them claw back a deficit from the halfway point.
There was also an ANONIMO award for Ott Tanäk, crowned WRC 2019 champion. This was a historic victory that saw off 15 straight years of French rally supremacy. A victory built on passion, courage and perseverance, and one the Estonian has been working towards since his rally début 15 years ago.
2019 was also the year when ANONIMO got behind Kalle Rovanperä, maintaining the brand's tradition of discovering and supporting young talent. He won the World Rally Championship WRC-2 Pro, competing for the first time at just 19 years of age – a major achievement that propelled him into the top flight of the WRC, where he will join Toyota next year. The hard work, talent and passion of Kalle Rovanperä fit perfectly with ANONIMO's values. We are proud to support him in pursuing his dream and in creating a story of true passion.

The MILITARE Chrono WRC special edition created by ANONIMO in the competition colours is now a staple for rally devotees, led by Kalle. With its hand-brushed grey dial, protected crown at 12 o'clock and WRC logo, it captures the full force and passion of the WRC. Driven by a Swiss Made mechanical automatic winding calibre, it offers both precision and reliability – qualities crucial for victory in a discipline that demands absolute perfection.
